Ford parts pass through a number of stringent quality tests before they are fitted to a vehicle. After an initial design is made it is road-tested to ensure that it works without any hitches whatsoever. Countless hours are spent by car engineers in order to continually improve the quality and serviceability of particular parts. After the parts have passed the standard tests, only then are they sent to distributors worldwide. And with the onset of rigid environmental standards, Ford has risen to the challenge and has come up with fuel-efficient cars like the Focus and the Escape. So, when talking about innovation, Ford is never left behind.
Of course, the tests that the APG uses are laboratory methods that have been sanctioned by the Society of Automotive Engineers. These methods are facilitated so as to be able to analyze the corrosion protection of individual components of these Ford vehicles.
The entire testing is done at the Ford Motor Company's Arizona Proving Ground (APG). The process of testing and checking is done through a more effective way of distributing the salt in and around the vehicle's exterior.
